A note before you read

BocaBoca is a new product built by a small team. These terms reflect where we are right now. They will grow as the platform grows. We will tell you when anything material changes and give you time to decide whether you want to stay. Version numbers and effective dates at the top of this document track those changes.

1. Who we are

BocaBoca is operated by Amplification Institute, Inc., a Florida C Corporation. References to “we,” “us,” or “BocaBoca” in these terms mean Amplification Institute, Inc.

BocaBoca is a curated discovery platform that connects customers with small, women-owned and women-operated businesses that are difficult to find through ordinary search. We are not a payment processor, employer, staffing agency, or clinical service provider. We are a discovery layer.

2. Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to two types of users. Some provisions apply to both. Where there are differences, we say so clearly.

Customers

A customer is anyone who creates an account on BocaBoca to search for and connect with listed businesses. Customers do not pay to use BocaBoca. There is no subscription, no credit card required, and no charge of any kind for customer accounts.

As a customer, you may:

Create an account and set up personas to improve your search results.
Search for and browse listed businesses.
Initiate contact with a listed business through the platform.
Save listings and manage your account preferences.

Listed businesses

A listed business is any individual or entity that creates a listing on BocaBoca to be discoverable by customers. Listed businesses are also referred to in these terms as “businesses.”

Being listed on BocaBoca is currently free. Paid subscription tiers for businesses are planned and will be introduced within approximately 60 days of the effective date of these terms. We will publish the terms and pricing for any paid plan before it launches, and you will have an opportunity to review them before any charge is made.

As a listed business, you may:

Create and manage a business profile and listing.
Be discoverable by customers through BocaBoca search.
Receive contact inquiries from customers through the platform.
Access your business dashboard and listing analytics.

When a listed business is also a customer

A person who operates a listed business may also use BocaBoca as a customer to search for and connect with other listed businesses. When doing so, both sets of obligations in these terms apply simultaneously. Having a business account does not give you any elevated access to other businesses' information, listings, or contact details beyond what any other customer would receive.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that this is true.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at contact@amplificationinstitute.com.

You may only create one account per person or business entity. We reserve the right to merge or remove duplicate accounts.

4. Listed business responsibilities

If you are a listed business, you are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your listing. By creating a listing, you represent that:

The business information you provide is accurate and not misleading.
You have the legal right to operate the business and offer the services described.
Your listing does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
Your services comply with all applicable laws in the jurisdictions where you operate.

You are solely responsible for the products, services, and interactions you provide to customers who contact you through BocaBoca. BocaBoca does not vet, certify, endorse, or take responsibility for any listed business.

5. Pricing and payment

BocaBoca is currently free for all users. There are no paid plans active at this time.

Paid subscription plans for listed businesses are planned and will be introduced within approximately 60 days of the effective date of these terms. When paid plans launch, the specific terms, pricing, and refund and cancellation policy will be published in full before any charge is made. You will have an opportunity to review those terms before you are asked to pay anything.

We will notify active users before any paid plan is activated. We will never charge you without your explicit agreement.

6. What BocaBoca is not

To be clear about scope:

BocaBoca is not an advertising platform. Results are curated by relevance and match. No listing can pay to rank higher.
BocaBoca does not process payments, handle orders, or take a transaction cut. Any arrangement between a customer and a business is entirely between those two parties.
BocaBoca is not a clinical or therapeutic service. If you appear to be in crisis, we will route you to external resources, but we are not a mental health provider.
BocaBoca is not a job board. This is a business-to-customer discovery platform, not an employment service.
BocaBoca does not sell user data or share it with advertisers. There are no advertisers.

7. Things you may not do

The following are prohibited on BocaBoca, regardless of account type:

Use the platform to harass, threaten, or intimidate any person.
Scrape, index, or extract listings, contact information, or search results for any commercial or competitive purpose.
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform.
Create false or misleading listings or accounts.
Attempt to reverse-engineer the platform's data model, API, or matching logic.
Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
Impersonate any person, business, or entity.
Upload or transmit harmful code, malware, or anything designed to disrupt the platform.
Attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours.

8. Suspension and removal

BocaBoca is in early access (v0). We admit users at our discretion and we may remove access at our discretion.

Immediate removal

We will remove an account without notice and without refund for:

Harassment, threats, or abusive conduct directed at any person.
Any illegal activity conducted on or through the platform.
Scraping or automated data extraction.
Fraudulent or materially false listings.
Any conduct that, in our judgment, poses a risk to the safety, security, or integrity of the platform or its users.

This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. We reserve the right to determine at our sole discretion that conduct not listed here violates the spirit of these terms and warrants immediate removal.

Removal with notice

For violations that do not require immediate action, we will attempt to notify you and give you an opportunity to remedy the issue before removal. For paid subscribers in good standing who have not violated these terms, we will provide at least 30 days notice before removing access for reasons other than cause.

Effect of removal

When an account is removed, your access to the platform ends. For listed businesses, your listing will be deactivated. For paid subscribers removed for cause, we are not obligated to issue a refund. Data handling on account removal is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual property

BocaBoca and its content, design, and underlying technology are owned by Amplification Institute, Inc. These terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

By creating a listing or uploading content to BocaBoca, you grant Amplification Institute, Inc. a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use that content to operate the platform. You retain ownership of your content. We do not claim ownership over your business name, photos, or descriptions.

10. Connecting with businesses

When you use BocaBoca to contact a listed business, you are initiating a direct relationship with an independent third party that we do not own, control, or supervise. What happens after that contact is between you and that business. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any service or interaction that results from a connection made through BocaBoca.

We do not process transactions. We do not take a cut of any sale. We do not have visibility into what happens after you connect.

11. Disclaimers

BocaBoca is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, about the platform's reliability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We are a small team building a new product, and we will have outages and bugs.

We do not warrant that any listed business is licensed, insured, vetted, or suitable for your needs. We list businesses that have chosen to be found. Evaluation of any business is your responsibility.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Amplification Institute, Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of BocaBoca or your interactions with any listed business. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Since BocaBoca is currently free, this means our liability to customers is currently zero. We are being transparent about this. If paid plans change this calculation, we will revisit the limitation accordingly.

13. Disputes

If you have a concern or complaint about BocaBoca, please contact us first at contact@amplificationinstitute.com. We will make a genuine effort to resolve it within 30 days. We are a small team and we want to get things right.

If informal resolution fails, any legal claim arising from these terms or your use of BocaBoca will be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Volusia County, Florida, and you consent to jurisdiction there.

14. Changes to these terms

We will update these terms as the platform grows. When we make material changes, we will update the version number and effective date at the top of this document, and we will notify active users before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

If you disagree with an update, you may close your account at any time by emailing contact@amplificationinstitute.com.
